CROATOAN

We are Croatoan, the strong-minded Vampyres. We understand our great lineage, and we seek to better ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually, so that we can rise above the average of our kind. We are thinkers and deciders. We take brave strides into the unknown, and we percieve that we are the lions leading the lambs. We create our own rules, and we follow these rules, because we protect our brothers and sisters with our lives. We are Croatoan, and we seek to overcome our weaknesses. We take pride in who we are, and we do not hide our identities from the entire world. We are working towards eliminating some of the secrecy that our kind has been forced to obey, and we practice the spreading of information, so that we might one day be allowed to live as openly as our neighbors.
Many of us are loners or outcasts, or perhaps not as involved with the community as we'd like to be, and so Croatoan has come into existence to bring us together so that we can move towards change, help our voices to be heard.

1. We shall respect ourselves as Vampyres, and we shall never turn away from our true and beautiful natures.
2. We shall protect our brothers and sisters with our own lives. An offense to one is an offense to us all.
3. We shall challenge ourselves to expand our psychic ability, our sensory ability, and our mental ability.
4. We shall not harm a brother or sister within the permission of our coven leaders.
5. We shall coexist with humanity, taking blood from the willing, but we shall remember to separate ourselves from humanity, for we are not the same.
6. We shall give to our coven, art, poetry, words, to decribe our own personal journeys.
7. We shall be careful to invite only the worthy to join us, for we are a strong and proud group.
8. We shall be honest with our coven, and we shall listen to each other, help each other, in any time of need.
